  • A lots, with properly fitted guard and flap, I oiled my chain a lots less regularly, even after a 1400km audax, through night riding and downpour, the chain is still fresh.

Dry feet are most welcome, I never liked to wake up to wet shoes in the morning.

  • Readers' wives

  • Mine can do that too!

  • dem couplers

    That looks insane though

  • What scares me about those (now) is learning that the TSA open every bag and have a rummage- and often re-pack bikes with a "that'll do" approach.

I'd hate to pull my bike out of the box in Colorado to discover it's been mangled.

  • Yep, just got back from California for a race. Took carbs with me, as race in remote area, stuff looked well dodgy, see pic. Nice little notice from TSA inside bike box. I must say, they repacked everything perfectly, I was impressed. May not be the same folks next time, though... No hassle or queries about the white powder, but I bet there were a few raised eyebrows and quick chem-scans going on.

  • It was an interesting feeling seeing bike trundle off down the conveyer belt at bag drop off that's for sure. Like watching a funeral casket.

Nice thing about the airnimal case is that there's plenty of room in it (it's supposed to have the trailer bits in it too, but I left these at home as I'm not towing anything) and the bike comes out / goes in in one piece. So should the TSA folks poke about they should be able to get it back in without any difficulty.

  • Those mudguards make me sad

  • Nice rack!
(I never thought I would write that...)

    By Wheeldan

  • The term 'nice rack' has in Holland more meaning. That is all I want to say.

  • Ah, the 'why' was not for me. Excuse me.

  • How they don't follow the curvature of the wheels

  • People seem to struggle with those saddle rolls. Flip it and your spanners won't try and escape.

  • Oh man, that Rick Jones is lovely!

  • +1

  • Jealous of the bikes with S&S couplers... those packed bikes are incredible.

  • What's the rack on that ti bike? Looks like a tubus fly but not quite.

  • I've a feeling it's a custom job.

  • Greatest dad award goes to:

I hated hauling my kid around on a cheap 30 lb steel trailer bike, so I built my own. Made entirely of bamboo and carbon, it weighs 9 lbs. This is our primary mode of transportation and it has seen thousands of miles over the past 3 years. No matter if we are heading to school or a 2 hr training ride, my son absolutely loves riding it. It has allowed me raise my him without excluding him from my passion for cycling or compromising my values. It also allows me to demonstrate a lifestyle without dependence on cars. Most importantly, it’s just plain fun.

  • Absolutely awesome! Well done that dad.

  • looks more like the worlds shortest dad.

  • Anyone have experience with maxxis overdrive in 700c tyres?
Not much choice for largish tyre around here.
Been using Larsen Mimo but searching for some non knobbly as mostly commute on asphalt road and pavement.
