I've got no problem with threaded interfaces really, as I rarely use any back pressure (I'm a shit skidder, I run a brake) and I'm far more at home grinding up hills than being all 'fixie' so as long as everything's well greased and properly torqued, my riding shouldn't affect things too badly. I rarely change ratio either, so once the cog's on, it stays on. I was only considering the Halos because I might be able to get them close to trade price from Matt at the DH, but I think i'll just go for the Novatecs. I'd much rather spend less and get normal 'technology' than have to fork out for fancy hubs and a different cog just to allow a slightly 'better' system; counter-intuiative perhaps, but that's me.

  • HA! shit skidder... #actualLOL

  • Hurry up and get a new set so I can have your old ones!

Oh, and another lol at 'shit skidder'

  • Thats Fair comment.

If you stick with threaded, I guess changing GI is easier, most people have a few cogs kicking around.

Trade on Halos isn't that cheap. You'll get a better deal going for some branded Taiwanese hubs.
