SRAM is rarely discounted, and even the trade prices are rubbish. Basically - if you want it you have to pay the asking price.
On a side note: is there a thread about cables?
What does everyone use? I usually run jagwire pro racer or the cheaper ones, but have found them a bit stiff. Recommendations for other cable sets that don't cost £100+?
