Apple SSD's and third party are actually quite different... Apple uses PCIe connections which has bigger bandwidth meaning quicker read write times and therefore a faster machine.

Really? That's very interesting. Never heard about that. I used a Samsung SSD in an old macbook pro (2009 model 13"). Will investigate.
