  • Love these things! I have some designed for your feet - like this but they wrap around your toes, so you have heat underneath and on top of your toes.

  • evans has extra -10% if you buy 2 or more items on gloves etc. with "XCA10" for y'all with cold hands.

buy1 & buy2 (the outer glove of your choice, preferrably wind&water resistant)

  • Cyclesurgery have 3 for 2 on gloves in store

  • I wonder if it would be possible to have heating elements within bar tape thats hooked to a rechargeable battery / dynamo.

Dynamo hubs connected to the Tout Terrain The Plug, that have a USB port on the top cap, thus plug in the glove.

Not too dissimilar to a motorcycles.

  • related to cold hands so related to winter gloves..

have you with risers considered foam grips and garbon bars? the cold comes from within too..
foam grips work as an excellent isolation. lizard skins DSP grips work like a charm and weighs only 27g for you weight weenies..

with drop bars go for the thicker 3.2mm tape.

  • In need of advice as there's so many gloves to choose from that I'm a bit confused. Gloves needed for these kinds of temperatures we're experience currently in London (between 0 to 8), have to have 5 digits and a Windstopper fabric of some sort. Currently riding with massive Thinsulate ones that do the job but dexterity is bit of a problem. Waterproofness not necessary as I have neoprene for that. Also preferably no padding.

  • Lost one of my fucking defeet gloves last week. Bollocks.

  • get some of these connected to a battery in the bottle cage?

  • Walk into shop. Try gloves fitting your description. Pay for your favourites and job done!

  • I'm still pleased with my 4 year old Fox Anti Freeze

Sadly the liners are on their way out but if the outters are still great. I was also very happy with my specialized element 1.5's so I might try the 2.0's

i think you'd call them 'semi-lobster' hopefully stop the problems I have in my little fingers

  • Anyone do silk (or other) liners that fit long fingers? I've been to outdoor stores but they're generally too small and I want them to go under other gloves.

  • Does anyone make an outer "shell" glove, to provide a waterproof outer layer for a different glove underneath?

  • Pearl Izumi do a nice waterproof gloves , but would you need a
    Liner or other glove underneath

  • Rubber coated thin wool safety gloves from diy store... For 6 quid at my local Leyland store I'm tempted to try them!

  • sweatiest things on earth, if you want actually waterproof hands use latex gloves a base

  • ^ True: make my hands look like I've been sat in the bath too long.

  • Assos do a glove 'system' including gloves they describe as a shell.

  • Oh, sounds gross. My endura winter gloves are fine anyway.

  • If you're ok with mitts - Extremities Tuff Bags

  • no such thing as a waterproof glove, you'll notice there a big hole where yah hand goes?

  • Headed out on Saturday with the defeet wool duragloves. Very impressed. Mostly toasty down to minus 1. Better than my specialized lobsters.

Not sure how they'd stand up in the rain.

  • They're ok in the rain I can tell you this.

Though if your hand is cold, it take longer to warm up in a damp glove.

  • This morning, in the name of science, I tried some merino liners in my SealSkinz - 3.6 degrees when I left the house, thermometer fans.

Anyway, and slightly oddly, my fingers were colder with the liners than they were without.

Possibly due to having more room without the liners?

  • Can anyone else back this up? ^ I'm on the fence about getting Defeet Merino E Touch or going with the SealSkinz + merino liner combo.

  • Didn't know they finally made the Duraglove Merino with E Touch, nice find.

BTW they're great glove, especially for £20.
