Ha! How funny. Yours is in slightly better nick than mine.
I might build it up a bit fancier next year, but at the moment it fits the bill perfectly for a winter bike. The clearances are a bit better than on my other options for winter frames so that's swung it for me.

I purchased this old kids bike in a very sorry state after a first-hand look and a bit of haggling. The seatpost, stem, and pedals had no signs of grease and the guy said he had it from a shop closing down sale in the pre-MTB years.
Anyhow I got started fingernailing off the surface rust with a sacrificial microfiber and did all that good stuff that I enjoy about bicycles (except with bushings, and steel everything).
Waited for some light to take pics - was very pleased once it was out in its element! (sorry about the focus) I've not been able to test ride it sadly... 16" wheels vs 36" legs

I keep breaking those spherical washer things that positions my disc brake calipers. Do they come in stainless steel? Where to find? Other suggestions?
Is there a better place to ask? -
• #98408
Hi dron, they are called CPS washers and you can get steel, stainless, or ti ones from SRAM. (though I suspect that is just the actual bolt)
Avid and others may call them as one thing or another... Tri-align etc.My advice is to train your torque arm skills Samson. :-)

I just built this Maffioletti Export pista from parts bin yesterday. Bit too small but will do until I receive my Rychtarski (not my photos, frame has won Polish championship in early 90's).
I will swap most parts like cranks, wheels and cockpit and add non fluted Campy SR seatpost, and black anodised Cinelli 1A paired with Criteriums 65-40 and pink bar tape. -

Winter! Is there a hack to get raceblade longs to fit nicely round 25c tyres? It all gets a bit tight around the rear brake, hence the ugly bump in the guard.
Isn't the hole for the brake bolt slotted, so you can move the mudguard up and down before tightening it?

Not really a current product. But I went on a ride with my new michelin pro 4 grip tyres, felt nice, but did a numpty thing in forgetting a inner-tube and got a goddam puncture!! so now I have a stupid long valve on the front I got from the nearest bike shop! :(
Thinking pink hoods and tape in the new year haha -

Thanks. I have seen stainless bolts with alloy cps washers.
These are for a winter bike used in a highly galvanic environment so the washers in contact with steel bolts tend to desintegrate now and then under my very gentle hand. -

Thanks Rik.

Just tape. Not hoods.

I wish i would have changed out track bars for road bars a while ago. Compact drops soon hopefully. And a faster ratio

Rare Ishiwata 015 tubing and lightened off lugs and dropouts. Stunning in real life.

Ishiwata 015
Rare indeed and being overshadowed by Reynolds and Columbus, much under-rated.

@tomsvoboda - very nice! - my housemate was bidding on that... no doubt he'll be PMing you shortly with a 'I'll take it off your hands if you ever think of selling' type message...

Geekhouse is back after a year of sitting in a suitcase.
It's fucking fantastic.
The next question is- how big a tyre can I fit.Plan is to ride it through as much of the winter as I can bear, strip it down, send it to someone, disc brakes, get S22hydro or CX1 in summer sale, put that on, new fork, and race some CX next year.

I gander 38mm, maybe 40 if you're adventurous.
Let me guess, no mudguard mount?
-
• #98424
Is there any means of measuring this?
I don't like mudguards. (though they may appear temporarily through the worst of winter) -

I don't like mudguards.
You're the most British person I've known so far.
That would be cool, Ed. Thanks.
