Good, hard ride in the fog. We climbed over the Malvern Hills taking us above the mist and briefly into sunshine and clear blue skies. Beautiful.
2km from home I got called an "inconsiderate cnut" by a driver for indicating to turn right, slowing, waiting for a gap (so I could across oncoming traffic). All was done in a legit manner. There was space for him to pass on the left but he still made the effort to lean on his horn, brush past and shout abuse out the window. He was behind me and I suppose him having to adjust his speed, steer or just generally accommodate another road user was unreasonable :-/

@Cycliste and I rode to Bulle today. Climbing up through Blonay to Chatel St. Denis it was pretty foggy, but when we got to CSD it was actually rather pleasant. Coffee and cakes in Bulle, and a bit of shopping at the Christmas market for some pain rustique and some fondue cheese. The weather on the plateau at the top was still fairly pleasant:
although the weather started to close in as we got close to Chatel St. Denis. Visibility left a bit to be desired in places:
A good ride though, even if the temperature did get down to 2 degC at one point.

I had a little ride in the lakes today. Nothing strenuous but it was fantastic weather.

Had fifty odd very pleasant miles round south west London until I got back to clapham.
Riding over the railway bridge on larkhall rise a couple of educationally sub normal gents driving a BMW one series decided to verbally abuse me for riding on the road and ten throw change at me at the drove past. Scum.
idly fantasing about thermiting the car now. pissed off that i didnt think to take the registration so I could report it

Seriously disappointing weekend of riding. Took my bike to visit my father on the Suffolk coast with the intention of big solo rides on both days. Set off on Saturday to do Walberswick-Aldeburgh-Walberswick only to get 15 miles and snap the paddle off my right hand rival shifter. Dragged myself the rest of the way to Aldeburgh for fish and chips and got a lift home. Didn't ride today - total shit.

Quick 30 miles spin this morning. Was expecting cold and drizzle but got sunshine and actual warmth (considering it's December). Also, didn't get told off for getting back 45 mins later due to, err, fitness issues. Followed up by a pub lunch. Today was a good day.

Didn't want to limit my immense power to two speeds...

I had a longer training ride today. The route is about as hilly as I can make it given where I am. No on else in the club want to do the route they all want a cafe stop with cake and a shorter ride. I had a stop in Sudbury for a flu jab does that count.

Having cleaned the CX bike some weeks ago now, I've not wanted to subject it to the filth and grot that are the local trails and I've not been able to get to another LXL since PORC. Just been bashing the Langster about the lanes instead. Put that right today and had a blast. Bikes are easy enough to clean, so won't be leaving as long before I use it again:

Loved it, although 2.25" versions of Racing Ralphs have no grip in the mud so the 1" versions on my CX bike took a bit of handling today.

I am not sure using a computor adds anything to riding actually. Used to ride without one for a long time. Do I enjoying riding with one now any more no. Maybe I should stop using it.

Ruddy 'eck, riding in the proper cold is so hard. Not long back from 130km (hmmm, wonder why that distance...!?) and the legs had even less power than normal.

Still, what a stunner of a day.
East to West. Down.
