  • Pretty grim this morning. Slept in, drizzling shit weather and about 4 close calls with cunts that think things like "looking" and "indicating" are optional. Couple of dumb arse ped moves too. Die fuckwits. This is all with me riding quite slow being a bit worried about dying if I smash my head or something because my blood won't fucking clot. Stupid London. Get fucked. Think I'm gonna work from home a bit more often these coming months.

  • Definitely, not forgetting mine again.

Had that yesterday, douchebag undertook me and smacked my arm...

Also point me in the direction of your headgear, long wet flappy hair is not the one

  • some old face mask thing.
maybe for sale soon as i wanna get a propper balaclava.
maybe the goretex one. will holla you @timbre

  • Week 3 Episode 4 of being a bike courier - hands fell off due to lack of gloves, and there were two or three attempts on my life today (thanks drivers!), but singing 'Every 1's a winner' does make the work actually easier.

Was given an apple by a receptionist at the start of the day. Last job was a home delivery to a just-out-the-bath posh girl. Ooh err.

  • ^ was it the last job of the day because you spent the rest of the day bopping her?

  • Well, that was cold.

  • I haven't commuted by bike for a week thanks to a head cold - withdrawal symptoms starting to kick in..

    Also, trains are bad.

  • Set off with a stinking hangover, finished feeling fresh as a daisy. Thanks commute, 8/10.

  • i was on a train where the dude behind me was making sick disturbing slurping sounds... and i mean right behind my ear, crammed up against my back with the 100 other 'standers'.

'slurp slurp' 'gurgle gurgle' 'slurp slurp'

  • I didn't think daisies were in season at the moment, so how fresh would a daisy be at this time of year? Where would you even get a daisy now? Wouldn't it have to be preserved in some way, possibly frozen? What are you really trying to tell us?

  • ^Boke.

Snifflers, coughers and noisy eaters can also >>>>>>>>>>>>

  • Got the Tube, spent the journey reading Route Britannia by William Fotheringham. Bloke next to me snoring was probably the comedic highlight.

  • bussed this morning

husky lad next to me had about a 40" gaming laptop (blank excel sheet open) and was eating 2x pain au choc and getting crumbs everywhere

    get fuuuuuuuuucked

  • Sometimes you need a train commute to remind you just how fucking brilliant even the most miserable of cycle-commutes are.

3/10, Tulse Hill to Farringdon and then the 243 to Shoreditch Fire Station. Cost me about £4, and was both cold, cramped and uncomfortable, even though I left at 7.

    Get fucked bus wankers.

  • I left around 8:30 got straight on, was first off, grabbed a seat on the Tube, read. Didn't have to change, didn't have to swear at any number of dickheads trying to kill me, didn't need to fight anyone, didn't hurt myself, had but technically didn't require a shower on arrival. Bliss. sells bikes

  • this page is full of train commutes. 0/10

  • +1

I get the train into Paddington every day then cycle the last couple of miles to the office - we're looking at moving offices & every says to me "I bet you'd love it if we moved to Paddington", the answer is a very firm no. Even on a shit day, the cycling is generally my highlight.

  • I actually miss my commute to Acton, even though it was shit from start to finish and I ended up in Acton. A nice 45 min spin in the morning makes all the difference.

  • Beautiful morning for a ride. I'm giving it a cautious 8/10. Dare I ask what was happening around The Highway / Cable St this morning though. Someone's commute was definitely not great...

  • Hate the festive period in the face, my bike has been at the office since last week, due to various client drinks, bring stuff home. The train all be it a short journey does my head in and the walk from London Bridge has me in a rage by time I get to the office.

    -0/10

  • Working from home but I might walk down the street to get lunch.

    Epic
