As I understand it, it's not going to happen though.
There was (and no doubt still is, given Velocio's workload & commitments) limited appetite to do this, and understandably Velocio doesn't want to replicate functionality in the forum software that already exists elsewhere.
Most browsers have image blocking built in, or access to image blocking through addons.
Except the locked down ones that people use in offices, that is.
Where the functionality might protect us from having picture on our screens that could get us fired.
