  • Have sent a pair of Grensons back today as the leather sole had started to squash out and come away at the front. Six weeks of wear, not what I was expecting from a £200+ shoe.

Await finding out whether they'll be resoled or replaced

  • Grenson sample sale started today.

3 pairs of shoes bought for £80

Even if the quality has gone down, that's bargainous.

    Suede monk straps for £10

  • Gonna move my Viberg Service boots on - in black CXL, 9.5 UK sizing, close to about 10.25 North American. I know it's "over there" for most of you, but what would give a better return, styleforum or ebay?
    Thanks

  • good dealz.

please tell me the monk straps are purple

  • Went back yesterday and picked up a pair of these for a tender as well

  • Went to the Grenson sale on a whim... and left with four pairs. Picked up some Paul Stuart Stuart's Choice boots (can't seem to find them online anywhere, research seems to indicate they were hand made in England by Grenson, to similar standards to their old Masterpiece lines) with Vibram commando soles, a pair of Tim Little wholecuts, some tan scotch-grain Grenson Oscar desert boots and some Grenson Spike Duck Boots. Been badly needing some proper shoes for a while, and the whole lot only cost £105.

Don't think I'll be seeing the inside of a shoe shop for a while.

  • feck me sounds and looks like i was a weekend too early in landan. bargainz galore

  • You obvs had the right size feet!

  • Yeah looks like it, I'm a 7/8, seemed to be the most common size going. Spent a fair amount of time trawling through the various piles people had hoarded and then left. The Duck Boots are the ones that I'm least sold on, considered leaving them at the till, but asked the price and they were 10 pounds, felt criminal not to.

  • Housemate got a pair of these:

And the pink laminate has started peeling already after one day of use. Any idea of what might be happening/how it can be saved? Good thing she only paid £20

  • Oh. Wish I was in london. :(

  • They would look pretty sharp looped around a power line.

  • Despite the recent bad experience I couldn't resist the sample sale. 2 pairs of boots for £95. Have seen via Instagram that people managed to get their hands on triple welts etc but there wasn't much like that around either time I visited.

  • ^ Good thing I was too ill to venture out this weekend... I'm still after a pair of saddle shoes and a new pair of black Bass Weejuns, lemme know if you spot some 10s in TKMaxx...

  • They had weejuns at YMC sample sale last week £50

  • Brand new pair of Grenson Stanley's just arrived in the post. Can't fault Grenson/End Clothing customer service.

  • bought these for £41 from shoeaholics. They got two pairs of quoddys left (both in size 41, is that 6.5?)

I am not sure that shoeaholics have the original RRPs right

  • Thats a bargain

  • you're not going to wear them in public, i hope?

  • ^ The voice of reason...

  • fortunately I don't give a flying fuck what the public thinks, you included x

  • They'd look great with some red jeans...

  • why post on a forum, if you don't give a flying fuck?
