Does anyone own a Canyon?

Don't understand why there is such a long lead out time in these late months. You'd think all the fair weather douches would be buying in May/June. Bompton not taking custom orders until January because they're catching up with orders from the rest of the year goddammit!

It's just dumb. I want something, they can't even promise to deliver within the next 5 months - I will buy something else instead. Why even fucking advertise something you are almost half a year away from having in stock.

Do they actually charge your card at purchase or do they wait until they ship the package?

I guess they haven't scaled production capacity to meet demand.

No direct experience of cycle manufacturing, but I do know for sure, in other industries a product may exist on paper and / or one off prototype form, but until sufficient orders are received which may cover a specific specialist tooling cost, a minimum production run for that product or some other specified sign off point for production linked to the confidence in the product to succeed, then accountants will not release production .. If money is tied up in stock, then it's not really working for your business!

Just a fantastic bike to have, lightweight and responsive on the road. (IMO a great design too)

Only problem I can see is the waiting time for these babies as they are very high in demand atm.

I also want a CL SLX. My size isn't available til mid-Feb which is manageable...

Same old tight clearances though. When I had mine I could barely get 25's and raceblades on it. They're nice bikes and would be ideal winter bikes if you could just get 28's and proper guards on them.

I have switched to 23s and the fender work better

Do the canyon cf frames take a 1 1/4 stem? Or is it 1 1/8?
