That would be great except the wheels don't actually turn very freely. 2.2 is too much for the fork! Plus I love the 'dale!

Hey man, I put these on from my other bike for a joke. I'm not going to run these wheels/tyres!
The bars are great, looking forward to ruining the look with some Tiramisus!

Ah ok.
I keep thinking that my 1x1 would probably look awesome with a big knobbly up front and the Marathon on the rear, doubt it'd do much to the riding experience though!

Depends on the conditions. You'll be confident turning, just getting up to speed might be a little hairy!
-
• #57
TBH riding it with .24 knobbly f&r and singlespeed wasn't utterly horrendous, maybe I'll give it a shot.
-
• #58
If it isn't utterly horrendous its a sign you should stick with it ;)

I like the orange hope you do. Who cares what anyone else thinks.

I appear to be building a bike that is capable of 17.1 gear inches.
A Boris Bike in 1st has 32.Might be overgeared.

In other news, the bike is now rolling. Awaiting the guards and some appropriate tyres and pedals, but will snap a pic of it as it is now tomorrow.
Until then:

My OCD is in overdrive. The claws on the anodising no? Bird should be in the wild :(

If it were in the wild it'd die.
If it damaged my bike, it'd die.

Its alive! Quick snap.
65MM chromoplastics and 2.0 travel contacts will arrive next week. The ride is really comfy and planted, with a little bit of steering flop. Surprisingly stiff and lively. Although it's way over(under?)geared and on tarmac I imagine i'll only use three cogs on the cassette!
Anyone able to recommend some platform pedals and straps?

Well done sir. That looks awesome. Used to have a Clockwork, many moons ago, best mountain bike I ever owned. Orange cables look ok after all, I thought black would be better. Go on then take it somewhere, so we can have some action pics.
That looks great!
Bring it to Epping :-)
