I have worked at the young vic theatre as a scenic carpenter for the last 5 years. I am also an artist, I make and sell small oil paintings and drawings, building my own picture frames. I also build bookcases / alcove shelving for peoples houses, and have done alot of interior decoration. No welding skills I'm afraid.
Money at the theatre is shit but very flexible as it's freelance. If the money was good for this position I might be persuaded to give up my art for a while...
