  • Oooohm. New typeface.

Wonder why they not direct mount under bb?

  • I so want one of them for my Hetchins.

  • Ooh nice. Tastefully garish if there is such a thing. I wish my arse liked a Turbo, they look mint.

  • A friend of mine has built this, 8,8kg.....my alu road bike weighs the same....but is 5cm smaller....

  • i so want also, this is currently reaching 200 euros, would be complimented by the campagnolo rally rd with longer cage, i sold some parts to a gent who turned up on a mercian, and he had made his own, he said you have to get the drill hole right on the crank arm, and make the spacing for the 3rd chain ring the same as the 1st and 2nd, i asked him for pics but he said he's camera shy and i should go see him

  • a very nice piece

  • Masi Ghost bike? Looks to white, especially in that light. Poor cable routing, and dreadful Rolls Due.
Motta on the other hand looks suprisingly well with white contact points.

  • i have a couple of dues

  • I've seen some doubles adapted into triples by drilling and tapping extra holes in the crank spider. However, you can tell they're conversions and not proper triples - on the proper triples the fluting on the spider is shorter so that it stops before the hole for the granny ring, whereas on the conversions the hole for the granny goes through the end of the fluting. I think it would be quite easy to do, particularly if one had access to a milling machine and rotary table (like wot I do). Trouble is, I still want the proper, genuine triple. And like you say, they're a bit pricey...

  • I really like them somehow. I've got two. One in Ti.
Normal rolls is just a bit too couchy for anything other than shoppers and MTBs. IMHO

  • price and foookin' hard to find, bang on about the fluting though, that's what separates originals from customs, i have a few crank arms in the part box, so the most unfluted would be suitable if needs be,
would be ace for a certain well established tuscan retro ride methinks

  • had 3, one was one the master mtb, other on the esa mexico, and may use the last on an alan beater/low key commuter
have a normal rolls that was team spec on the master buckler, wider fit, have suffered arse cheek numbness on due before though
only really like using on late 80's early nineties builds, pre is concor, post is flite imho

  • 8.8 kg. What tubing is it? lovely bike.

  • given the era and the location of brand, i'd say columbus sl

  • both milanese

  • ^Building a Pogliaghi is on the bucket list after seeing that pic Saarf.

Is the 8.8kg one above shod with Super Record?

  • ones of that age regularly +2k euros, if and when you can find them
heard pogliaghi described a 'tailor' , og bespoke stuff, unsure if pogliaghi had a distribution thing, like other Milanese builders

  • Lovely lookin' bikes.

  • the pre 83-84 i think are best, made by Sante or builders under his direction,
''Pogliaghi sold or transferred rights to build bicycles under his name in the 1983-84. The difference between a Pogliaghi made under his direct supervision and one that may not be is the PSM stamp on the seat-lug, and a chronologically-sequential serial number on the seat-lug or the head-lug. This serial number sequence appears to date all the way back to when Pogliaghi's uncle Brambilla owned the shop, where Sante Pogliaghi worked for him. Pogliaghi continued the serial number sequence when he took over in the late 1940s.

Pogliaghi is on record stating he would retire by 1980, when he was interviewed for the book "The Custom Bicycle" but he officially closed his workshop on 1983. The PSM stamp and the serial numbers disappeared after the marque transfer.

Marc Rossin supposedly took over rights to the marque first, and a number of Pogliaghis appeared with Rossin-style pantographing. Probably by the late 1980s rights to the name had passed to the Basso brothers.''

seen some early 90's ones which were matrix steel, renamed to chromor, which is not used for high end frames
