  • Surgeon opening for Lady Gaga. Wut.

  • Surgeon opening for Lady Gaga. Wut.>

seeing him in cardiff tonight :D

  • Mint. Think I'm going to go see him and Regis next weekend actually.

  • Name that tune (because I can't remember the name at all)

Played on Kiss 100 on Friday or Saturday evenings in the Summer of '92

It had a bit of a breakbeat, and a big horn / trumpet track

I vaguely remember that it was a white label, and called something "Lover" (maybe) by someone "Roberts" (again, maybe).

A bit of a long shot, I know...

@Gatti this looks right up your street

  • Yeah it does!
Missed all the early rounds of tickets, but may just have to go. Did you see that Headless Horseman set on BR recently, pretty great.

Is anyone here going to BLOC? HUGE line up!

  • anyone ever been to Berghain Panorama Bar? Worth it? (straighthead) assuming it's even possible to get in

  • it was pre-/ in 2008.
don't know what it will be like post peak ostgut ton and that things like this exist. i see some facebook friends status'/ photos and cringe...
imagine it will still be awesome.

    this is wicked, cheers mate

  • Yep been 3 times, well worth it imo.

Never been turned away, if you are with a larger group break up in the queue. My mate got turned away joined the back of the queue and tried again and they let him in!

Line ups alone are worth it for me, some of the best sets I have seen in there were DJ's I didn't know at the time Fiedel and Norman Nodge being highlights.

  • Tresor also worth a look

  • cheers!

anyone know of any small labels for Techno/Deep/Ambient/Dub Techno to send demos to?

  • Tough one, some more "established" labels you could look at are Northern Electronics or Inparidism for darker stuff. Saying that if you try and find something on the lines of Lobster Theremin who have put out almost 20 records this year you could be in luck.
You got a soundcloud or something?

Go on Sunday afternoon unless there's someone you want to see on earlier. There's never a queue and it's easily the best time to go (after peak tourist time) when the atmosphere is the best. A lot of the locals go at this time, stick to pairs of you and if there's a whole group don't all turn up at the same time and you'll be reet.

Never been to Tresor, but Stattbad is worth a visit if one of the Grounded Theory nights are on and About Blank is also a great club.

  • i live in berlin, been there very often.

tip is to forget about the saturday night and go in on sunday morning at 10/11.
no/ little queue, the touris have fucked off fucked or are still so high they actually get enjoyable. the crowd/vibe is the best on sunday, and sunday night.

indeed 3 people is max. single men (as in alone) get in quite easily, seeing it spans off a gay club and there also lab:oratory downstairs and we're all looking to be loved...;)

ahh well, i reckon i seconded that. i personally like going in quite early on sunday to get a good days worth of bootyshakin' before i have to go to dreamland for work on monday. my rocknrolldayz are over...

  • god i'm out of touch. 7even was exciting stuff in 2008, looks like the labels not active.

and yes, tresor is sick. do go.

  • Liza Minelli is quite handy with a kick drum
