Where on earth did Dolan get those from, can't find any info anywhere, even on Sugino's site.

They are normal Sugino 75s finished to a higher standard (like Grand Mightys) and then bathed in their S-Cubic solution, that they say helps the drivetrain run smoother. I've had s-cubic chainrings, they're ok, but no noticeable difference in drivetrain friction. They still use the old square taper BB though.
I like the ones on Dolan and the fact that they've updated their BB interface. Obviously they won't carry the NJS stamp. But I prefer outboard BB systems over old square taper and octalink for ease of use, weight saving and generally cheaper price points.

Ahhh cheers, price tag doesn't seem to make sense for the S-Cubic series... Im a big fan of what Ive seen of the new direct drive ones though

Sugino in modern technology shocker, next thing you know campag will be doing it!
-
• #43570
Sugino have done external bb road cranks before this though, haven't they?
They do look like a good combination of Ominium & S75 on paper, mind - though not as good looking as the Ominums IMO. -
• #43571
Umad? Omniums are fucking gross @Paramounted
-
• #43572
Yeah omniums are butters but they're just better than other things at the same price and less garish than rotors because some builds just can't handle them.
Hope the suginos come in silver too eventually.
-
• #43573
Ha. Omnoms not the worst...
I guess they offer more sizes in time... (DD)

• #43574
Not NJS, I'm out.

Do you even fixie anymore?
@Breso that's a re. only bothered because of the spinergy overload and because i recently bought a similar cannondale roadie which turned out to have a cracked seat tube
