I've fitted 2 Samsung 840 EVO's, nice but pricey.
Awesome, same drive I bought yesterday. I paid £89 for a 250GB which I thought seemed reasonable.
Its the most straightforward thing if you use time machine or CCCloner.
The current machine could do with a bit of a clean, so I'm going to install a fresh copy of OS X on the new drive.
Hopefully the
createinstallmedia
application is still available to use for building the USB install media, as it was in Mavericks.Cheers for the help!

Its the most straightforward thing if you use time machine or CCCloner. The faffy part is setting up a USB install disk, I used Diskmaker X. Then it just takes hours to restore everything. I had a few problems both times, once I with a timestamp error on the SSD and another I will just never know.
