Thanks @andyp
It would be for commuting to work and with the aim of getting my cx on at some point. I could also do some longer road rides on it through the winter if I have some lighter tyres etc. I really loved the Nature Boy but I think the TCR looks suitably mean for me to forget that in time

I like the look of that Merlin.

So ordering a replacement bike on c2w which gives me £1k to play with. What are my options? Current thinking Giant and Pinnacle Arkose. Anything else worth considering?
Other idea is wait for the 853 Nature Boy and get frame only on c2w through a friend

Though i like the idea of being able to run gears and single speed depending on how I'm feeling

Do it.
I think the only things left on it from when I bought mine in May are the seat post, the stem and, for now, the chainset.
The factory spec was fine, but the wheels are heavy and, I've found, very susceptible to pinch flats so I went tubeless. The Spyres are okay, but I always intended to upgrade to a fully hydraulic system, which necessitated a drivetrain upgrade to 11 speed. I'll change the chainset in the next week or so, mainly because I have a pair of Rotors spare.
It depends what you are going to use it for, but I've found tubeless wheels to be fantastic for racing and training, but changing tyres regularly takes time.
