Mike our Team Manager went to see him yesterday;
Update on Louis
I went to see Louis yesterday afternoon with Le, his grandparents and father were also there and everyone agreed that as surprising as it may sound - Louis has been very lucky - although being taken for 25 yards down a road under a car is a strange take on lucky! But Louis has no head or back injuries or seems not to have any major problems other than his Pelvis/Hip - this is being operated on Friday. Jeff was very concerned and wanted to make sure that the BUPA cover he pays for is used, as this is exactly why it is there! Obviously Louis is a bit beaten up, but seemed in pretty good spirits - although I’m not sure if that is the Morphine that he controls going into his system! I know that we will all wish Louis a fast and speedy recovery.Louis has been very lucky considering the severity of the accident
Yesterday one of our junior riders Louis from the Catford CC Banks team was knocked off and dragged 15 meters under the car, he is in intensive care but past the worst, as far as we know he has a broken hip and pelvis.
A Police car was behind and the driver stopped only just qualified :(
