  • Great, thanks for the info.

  • I'd quite like a TT bike for Christmas. If anyone's got one....
I'm going to be spending a lot of time in that position this next year.

  • Tri? Filth.

  • Hey Ooh! Asshole?

  • @TW had one for sale. Not sure if its still available?

  • It'd be too large, I'm afraid

  • It would be indeed. But thanks both!

  • Anyone got any tips on where to look for a decent (and not to expensive), relatively logo-free skinsuit?

I saw the galibier.cc ones which look good value, and there is the odd Castelli speedsuit around on a decent discount. Wiggle also have a few Assos suits on offer in the bigger sizes (I might fit their XL, would need to try it really). My club also do them for about £120 but there have been reports of quality issues with these. Nothing seems to grab me but I guess the obvious choice is the Assos.

    Any help appreciated.

  • Still a couple of Giordana ones available in XL only

I've got several, and they seem more comfortable and maybe faster than the Castelli Bodypaint 2.0s. Shame Giordana stopped making them.

  • You're 6' 3" aren't you?

    XL good for you?

  • Thanks, I had seen those in fact but was a bit unsure about the sizing - our club kit is Giordana and XL is a touch big, bit of flapping material around the torso/shoulders.

Although if @Scilly.Suffolk is correct you & I are the same height, so be interested to hear if he is on the money!

I generally like Giordana stuff, club kit is top notch compared to others I have seen and the fit is good provided you get the right size.

  • You're 6' 3" aren't you?

    XL good for you?

More like 6'1", but wide with it so my Giordanas are 2XL

  • Ha! Just read the last 5 pages. Glad you got some entertainment out of the race. Loved the stripes too guys. :)

Now, reduce my CDA and up my power!

  • I'm just under 5 10 with shortish legs and I want to buy a Planet X stealth. Can anyone give any advice me on the right frame size?

    Suggested Frame Size from PX:
    5′5″ to 5′9″ Small
    5′10″ to 6′0″ Medium

    Full geo here

My road bike is a 54.

Any advice gratefully received or thread recommendations.

    Cheers

  • I'm around 5'10" and ride a Medium Stealth.

  • Shiv you mean?

Anyone got any advice about sizing up or down if on the cusp with TT bike? Better to be a bit big or a bit small?

  • You going full tri, Joe?

  • hippy is never wrong

  • I'm a round 5'10"

    Fixed.

  • How long are your legs hippy? Can I have a go of your bike??

  • They reach from my bum to the ground.

No saddle adjustment on mine (fix to stop slipping) so it's probably too high for you in its current setup. I might have an 83cm inseam but that's just a guess off a vague memory of measuring it 15 years ago?

You can probably see from that pic though that there's lots of adjustment down from where the saddle's at.

  • Would you recommend the M for someone a bit shorter than you then?

Spoke to PX this afternoon (but he was no expert to say the least) and they said it was easier to make a smaller frame fit than a bigger one.

Annoying they don't have a presence down south.

  • That's basically true but if we have similar leg length you could probably get away with either. Not sure what the Small is like for bottle bosses or head tube length though so bit of a tough call on the cusp. Know anyone with the small?
