How good are the merino defeet gloves?

Would they be ok for dry days and add a pair of lobsters for when it rains?

Define good.

I wore mine today as I pootled around town on a few errands, and got quite wet on the way home but the gloves were still doing a good job despite being damp. However, when (if) it gets properly cold then I find they aren't warm enough and I need to wear bulkier gloves.

Sound quite good

I have the rapha merino gloves which were great, but they are wearing out, the seam on the snot wipe has perished and the tips of the fingers have got holes.
