The claim is that moving them closer to the fork is better. But the frontal area/shape, With cable, is pretty much exactly the same.
So using my 'smaller or more pointy = moar aeros' theology. Iagree.
Still a neater solution for a road bike, and easier to hide a'la Fuji, I Guess.
I think thats why my AR will have a standard single bolt front. Still find it messy, mixing the two standards, though.
