- 1 for bad service.
Ordered a load of kit on sale (marginally cheaper than CRC / Wiggle). Not notified about out of stock items - took 3 days to sort out alternatives etc over the phone / email. I was leaving for racing abroad, and asked that they ship priority due to their internal stuff-ups, and was assured the goods would arrive on time. No such luck.
To add insult to injury, upon arriving home, I was charged retail, not the 20% off that had made shopping with them attractive in the first place.
Go for CRC every day of the week - no questions asked when they stuff up an order, and free despatch and return shipping!
- 1 for bad service.

I got good service from Ribble, quick responses to emails and great prices.
Maybe it's luck of the draw.

Good service when? Ribble imo are flaky at best but these last few weeks have supposedly been worse than normal. 15 working days for a bike. I ordered on 9th Sep and they still havent dispatched.

About 3 months ago. No complaints, emailed them with a couple of awkward requests (from my side, cancelling order, adding things etc) and they obliged.
Not playing devil's advocate.

yes very good and quick delivery :)

Useful thread. I'll shop elsewhere....

Why? I ordered a few bits last week and they were delivered quickly and well packaged. 2/2 for me, and great prices.

I got my order, it included a frame which is supposedly what held it up. Small orders for parts etc were/are less affected

ordered from Ribble multiple times, always cheap on certain items and good deals come up often. takes up to 2 weeks to arrive in Ireland every time but if I dont need something in a hurry thats fine,
In comparison Wiggle usually takes around 1week, obviously CRC is quick as its north of the border, mostly next day delivery from them but have not had good customer service with them when problems arise.
Planet X aprox 1 week delivery to Ireland and great customer service, on one(pun intended) occasion it was bad but got talking to someone who wasnt a nonce and he sorted the problem
so in conclusion Ribble is the slowest Ive dealt with(slower than German retail stores and from ebay USA sellers) but definitely great deals from them and Ill continue using them

I'm really tempted by the ribble winter trainer special ed with a 105 groupset as it looks like such good value.
The thing is, I think I've read too many of these kind of threads now + ribbles no test ride / no return after riding policy is making me wary...
Gah! i don't know what to do!

I order a load of random bits from ribble on Monday and they all arrived safe and sound to me today.

Anyone else had trouble with Ribble checkout recently or know what
"NO carrier information for the selected country (ZONE 1)!"
means?
Nothing has changed on my side. I'm sending to the same address with the same card address and it's not letting me check out. I've emailed them but thought the hive mind might know..

Used them 2x in the past three weeks (shoes didn't fit) with details they had on file and worked fine. Maybe they have banned you?

Pay with paypal instead?

I can't even get to that bit.
Go To Checkout > click Continue when my address is selected and it errors. Not even making it to the credit card step. I've tried both addresses and tried entering a new address. They all fail.

Try a new account

Just created a new account. Same problem.
It seems Ribble or their payment system no longer recognise the "United Kingdom".

• #46
PM me your card details and I'll try for you...

I got an email from them and it's working now.

Ribble are doing some really good deals ATM on rubber and wheels packages.
Also XMAS12 discount code 12% off.
My fav retailer for now.
Ribble are being slower than usual just now.
Ordered a frame and forks and a few other bits and pieces on the 9th or Sep. Still waiting for a dispatch.
At least they replied to my email though, saying that it would be up to 10-15 working days til dispatch. In fairness it says this in there t&cs.
Supposedly they are very busy with bike sales after the olympics. I read on twitter that they had turned off their phone.
