I hate to say it, but I'd love to have one of those.

Which end do you stick it in?

Sorry chaps - no one seemed to want the grinder for £50 so I gave it away to a friend.

I'm in the market to get a decent coffee grinder, what's the forum's recommendation be?
I don't think the Rancilio Rocky is that good for the money, as according to some review, it's only a little better than the current one we have.
If you're willing to spend £300 on the Rancilio Rocky then the Eureka Mignon is worth looking at too. http://www.bellabarista.co.uk/espresso-grinders/espresso-coffee-grinders/coffee-grinders/eureka-mignon-instantaneo-grinder-auto-manual-gloss-black.html

I've read that the best entry level espresso capable grinder is the Iberital MC2...was thinking of going for one but decided to hold out til a better used grinder came up for sale
-
• #10462
^ I've got the mc2 it's ok.

Not really wish to spend that much, just looking for something with a bit more grind setting, and the Rocky was mentioned because our coffee machine is also a Rancilio.
Our current grinder (think it's a an old yellow Gaggia) work well, just only got one setting, and difficult to keep it tidy when dispensing the ground to the portafilter

If you'll pardon the obvious plug, I wrote a book on this shit, you should buy it.

Indeed - you should buy Matt's book - a great coffee primer

Lavazza pre ground?
-
• #10468
almost certainly, last thing you want is loose coffee grounds in Zero-G.

Just read about this bullet proof coffee nonsense in the guardian. Has anyone tried it? It sounds pretty grim, but gonna have to give it a go...

if you like the taste of coffee, don't bother.
if you like to taste fat/oil and crap coffee, which has negligable benefits beyond fads, then go for your life!!
you could of course just take an Omega oil supplement.

its pretty good, if you can get a mazzer mini, there pretty good, or try the Mahlkonig Vario

Porlex manual grinding can GTF first thing in the morning.
Black & Decker BDCS40G + penta bit drill adapter?

^ htfu
;)

You can just clamp the chuck to the Porlex. Done it before, but you want to keep the revs low and the alignment spot on

It's not that bad, I've done 250g bag in one go for dimi, when he had a collarbone broken.
Doubles as training rollers for the winter. Every Rapha-wearing coffee snob should have one. Only £600.
