  • Looks good, I'd just update cockpit and saddle and leave the rest as it is. I've never ridden spinergys though, I understand there are longevity issues so understand if you'd rather have something else. In that case, go for 38 mm crabon!

  • What would you do to the cockpit? and any saddle suggestions? Was thinking just the standard black turbos.

The guy that I bought it off via eBay, isnt replying to any of my messages about pick up. :(

  • I love this era of Cannondale, it looks stunning condition.

38mm clincher and gumwalls would look boss. Compact drops and black tape will make a huge difference.

I also think this would look sweet with a black Arione or modern Concor light.

  • ^beat me to it. A flite or even SLR would look good as well. Obviously get levers correctly positioned on new bars.

  • Shameless me. Here's one I had for a while:

And this I think belonged to one of our Danish members ( @Thuekr maybe?)

  • What stems are these above?
Also recommendations for 38mm carbon clinchers?

Gonna get a standard black thomson seat post.

  • The pink bike has a Thomson on it. I think it's a planet x superlight on mine. Both are -17 degrees. 38 mm carbon I got on ebay. Seller called carbonzone I think. They're ok.

  • It's amazing how the same frame can be put together in such different ways. I have an R400 which I want to do something with at some point so I'm always after ideas to steal shamelessly.

@russmeyer 's is gorge, obviously. It's the sort of thing I'd try and do. The top build in the OP is yuck, IMO. It's the sort of thing I'd end up with!

I do have a burning desire to polish mine and leave it raw alu but I hear it's a pain to protect...

  • Don't raw it. No idea why people like the look of raw aluminium. It just builds up an ugly oxidized layer that just looks like dried sweat.

  • Took off the triathlon bars and just general pictures of whats on it atm.

  • This is lovely. I love the spinergys. What speed cassette can they take up to? If they can take up to 10 speed, I'd go gunmetal 6700 ultegra over 105.

  • What bars on your build, Russ?

  • Any links or brand recommendations for -17 degree stems? :)

  • Nothing specific but I think you should check out the Cannondale thread on here for more ideas.

  • That is absolutely hard as it is! Would change pedals & saddle then ride it until the inevitable..

  • Can anyone ID these please, or something similar. MKS?
