At work, I have to wear proper evening dress. Apparently it is extremely bad form to wear a wristwatch with white tie, and the correct timepiece to go with the rig is a proper pocket watch, rather than my Sinn U1.
Nobody really minds, but it's an excuse to do a bit of shopping for a christmas present for myself. I guess I'm looking for something english, antique and preferably in a silver case.
Any pointers? What sort of money am I looking at for a reliable watch which will keep reasonably good time?
