Hello all, looking for some advice of UK law...
Recently I crashed my bike, I was drunk (idiot) I also ran a red light and was on my mobile phone.
Police were following and seen everything.
I refused alcohol tests at the time but was clearly intoxicated.
I have just got a court summons, what's the likely action to be taken? I currently have a clean record.
Edit: oh and I had no brakes or lights.
Oh and I know, I'm a fucktard and the lesson was learnt in the form of 36 facial stitches.

What have they charged you with? There are scales for what punishment to expect. If you plead guilty at the earliest opportunity, you're likely to get a substantial discount on the maxima in that table.

Plead guilty and attend AA prior. Say you had been blind drunk and felt it was a problem after so went to AA so now are a changed man and all that other shit. Oh and you care for your mother or someone.

I don't believe there is a "drink drive" limit for cycling so their intoxication tests would have been relative anyway.

They do only have to prove your were unfit to ride a bicycle from drink or drugs though.

That depends on the charge.
Get proper legal representation.

Nah, speculating on the internet is much more fun :-)
Also, since he seems to have been bang to rights and is in line for a modest fine, lawyering up doesn't look like value for money.

Depends on what they're trying to stick on him/her.
The fact they've (apparently) gone for a summons rather than a NEFPN suggests it's possibly serious.

I used Jantex tubular tape for aluminium rims on carbon rims. How quick and painless will my death be?

Velox's hired assassins will hunt you down, so it's best to ask them. The No.14 tape for carbon or aluminium is about 4 times the price of the No.76 for aluminium only, so they are going to be a bit pissed. The main selling point of the No.14 seems to be the temperature resistance, so if you've used No.76 on a track bike, you should be OK as long as you can out run some French blokes with a grievance.

Is anyone near Clynderwen and can do me a favour? It involves collecting a 400x600x600 item and then shipping it- for which I am happy to pay.

I saw a picture recently of a climb in Italy, the road switch backed up the side of the valley and went through many short tunnels- the type designed to shield against Avalanche rather than bored through a bit of mountain. It looked great- I would like to go and ride it, anyone know what it is likely to be?
Now you're talkin'.
