Girlfriend needs a restored Android phone for less than £120, suitable for small hands (she finds my N4 with a big case feels too large). Any recommends for models and places to look?

New moto G for £139?
(I realise its a bit over budget, but is a NICE small phone, and new)

Apart from the Xperia Z3 compact and the moto G, are there any decent phones with a 4.7 inch screen. I currently have the original HTC One. The battery and the screen seem to be giving up so I'd like to replace it.

New Moto G seconded, especially if it's anything like the new Moto X.
Be tempted to say get it direct, but it's around xmas and everyone is throwing cheap contracts around like candy. -

I'd like a new phone. In fact I'd like a Moto x... Do phones get cheaper after Christmas? I've not bought one for several years...

clove.co.uk/sony-xperia-z3-compact £335 so pretty good deal, plus you can stick an sd card in it
On the verge of pulling the trigger on the Z3 compact (was waiting for it to come back in stock), but I just had a quick question. Is it possible (and easy) to remove Sony's version of android and reinstall stock android on the phone? It's not a deal breaker, but I had a small play with the handset in a shop and although I really liked it I think I prefer the feel of stock android. I'm sure I could disable most of the Sony apps but I just thought I'd ask.

i have another invite for the Oneplus One if anyone is interested.

there's alot of drm on the camera app, which essentially means you lose most camera functions/quality if you do root it as far as I know. I haven't felt the need to root mine. It is a bit of pita to disable all the sony apps tho... otherwise I'm happy with mine

My lollipop N5 is becoming intermittently glitchy... Fucking annoying, almost unusable at times...

It doesn't seem to like having too many apps open at once... Running OK now...

Cheers, I guess I'll take a punt and see how I enjoy it first.

I have just set the stock sony apps to not be able to give me notifications. Otherwise the stock android on it is perfectly good. I have even put the Nova Launcher and custom icons on it too.

BBC are claiming downloads work on Lollipop, haven't managed to get it on on Nexus 7 yet, anyone tried it out?

Just got lollipop last night, on my nexus 4 and it seems really nice. The phone feels a lot quicker and I seem to have better signal and internet coverage. The keyboard is a little strange, but works.

Exactly my experience of Lollipop on my Nexus 4 - plus there's been a big improvement in battery use too.

My battery life has almost halved on my nexus 5 since upgrading the OS :(

Does anyone know of a good app for remembering / reminding birthdays?
I'd like it to be able to work on a PC, Android and ideally iPhone (just in case I stick with Apple for my next mobile).
I'm starting to loose it with the various contact / calendars I have which never seem to work or hold the info.
Cheers,

Google calendar has started to put birthdays of my contacts (from Google+ data I think, although I don't use it at all) in my calendars (in a dedicated calendar that can be displayed or not on various computers/phones/tablet)

Still managing with a Nokia N8 on Belle Update,
(mainly for the camera, satnav, and FM transmitter to allow podcasts to be played
over the cars' 'stereo'),
but with no prospects of new apps being written for any version of Symbian,
I'm now contemplating an Android phone.Have 'Verizon only' models ever found their way to the UK/Europe, oficially?
The Motorola Droid Turbo looks very interesting.

might have somehow had the wrong internet settings on me Fairphone*GiffGaff - as the internet speed suddenly seems to have sped-up (!)
had to re-configure the setup after re-partitioning (as one!) the hdd (stupidly, somehow the 16gb was originally split 1-15, with a mere 1gb allocated to apps, which due to being too little must have caused many FP users some fustration, which happily has now been addressed, ;-)
.. or perhaps its something else (keep seeing H and H+ in the top-bar), but somehow the phone is now www-capable!

I've just got a 2nd gen moto g and while its a great phone its certainly not small. 5" screen I think. I'd prefer smaller but it was cheap and dual Sim.
