• Was great to revisit some of the old trails.

    Today it felt like I was battling trying to steer an oil tanker, big tyres were floating me on the mud and never getting purchase on the ground below. When I stopped fighting the bike it was fine, and it would look after itself. Too often I was trying to direct it and it just slid all over the place, washing out from under me.

    Howard led us around his Crowthorne loop very well, though the second time he got his race head on and went off into the distance. Poor Andy was stuck behind me as I swore, grappled and slipped all over the place.

    Adam's new bike looked awesome in the flesh, the damage neatly covered by a decal.
