winter/snow studded tyres on 700c?

Posted on
  • I have used them in the past on a mtb but they had been like 2-3inch thick. Has anyone used 700c-30mm ones?

When this years snow day comes I hope it's epic and nobody can drive so I get some serious miles in cyclocross style but they might be really useless.

If it helps I'm looking at these to shove on the pompino.

  • The 30mm should be ok - but needs snow/ice to perform better than a 23c on wet tarmac.

  • I was looking at a pair myself, but it's one of those things... you buy them and it doesn't snow for ten years

  • @ugosantalucia you can borrow my ones april-september.

I was thinking the same but I have given up hiding bike stuff so they will just live in a corner till the day comes, hopefully they fold that would be even better.
