I thought this was interesting, I didn't realise there was an anti-parkrun movement! (clearly I'm not down with running politics...)
Personally I think parkrun is great and I wish I'd started doing them sooner - though I'm probably exactly the sort of runner (ie. a crap one) that "serious" runners think is dragging down the sport.

Might be just a loud few that give Parkrun a bad rep rather than it being a widely held view through club runners.
Anyone taking part is contributing to participation numbers, which the administrators love and tend to reward when it comes to funding for future stuff.
I've enjoyed the few I've done and would do more but for working Sat A.M. most weeks.
