Cotic X - Steel CX frameset - £200

  • So after collecting this just last week, I'm selling, I know I've been a #buyer but having this has made me think that going the cusom route may be the way to go.

    Anyway, down to it:
Cotic X frameset, all the bells and whistles: mudguards, canti-stops and disc brake stops. Cane creek heaset (freshly taken apart, cleaned and regreased), Cotic seatpost and hydraulic cable add-on quides are all included. The frame has been framesaver'd, so no internal rusting, the fork is carbon with aluminium steerer. Other bits of info include: rear rack mounts, 42c tyre clearance and twin downtube bottle stops.

Geometry is here, it's the middle 56cm one:

    Pictures:

  • I assume this is the 58? Where are you based please?

  • Wow, didn't mention the size... it's the 56, amended now.

Ascot but willing to travel/post if costs are covered.

  • A bit small for me then sadly GLWS

  • No worries, thanks for the interest :)

  • Basically the geometry is closer to a 52cm bicycle with a stupidly long headtube.

  • Basically the geometry is closer to a 52cm bicycle made for edscoble

    ftfy

  • Confused on the sizing for this, but interested.

what height would this suit? the same as a 56cm traditional geo cross bike?

  • Give this a quick read: http://www.cervelo.com/en/engineering/thinking-and-processes/geometry-and-fit.html

Compare stack and reach of your current ride (or anything you've ridden or know of). There are stack and reach calculators but they are a bit dodgy; I generally put dimensions in BikeCAD; it now calculates stack and reach based on traditional published geometry.

Compared to a standard 56cm frame this would need a 15cm-ish to fit.

  • It would suit a traditional 52cm bicycle if you don't mind the massive headtube, I guess the reason why they said 56cm is because the headtube is of similar length to a traditional 56cm bicycle.

  • ^ that, I'm 5'11" and could set it up the exact same as my road bike, arguably with the trail etc. you may want a smaller stem, but that's it, cotic say if you ride a 56 usually, that's the size you ride on this :)

Search cotic x on google and the 1st link is one to the page
