Hi Varno bit of an emergency one.
Is there any way you have a rear silver on silver with brake surface kicking about that you could send out for delivery by Friday? Failing that how quickly do you think you could get one made up and sent out? Thanks.

Hi there. New to the world of fixed gear and doing a custom build - need a wheelset and these seem perfect. What is the difference on the hubs to justify the price difference?

After a couple of years faithful daily service in all conditions, my rear Novatec hub is starting to sound sound and feel a bit rough so I'll be ordering a replacement.
It looks like you don't do the Novatec's anymore - how do the Miche hubs compare? Is the 40mm rim on the site unmachined?
Thanks!

Can anyone shed some light on the differences between the "sportive" and "sportive pro" road wheels?
-
• #666
Yes mate....Sportive Pro are fully sealed hub bearings...

Just wanted to give some feedback on my v-sprint wheels. Have recently put the Mach1 rims with Miche hubs on a langster and they have certainly livened it up over the stock wheels. The Miche hubs in particular seem great for the money and are very smooth. Smoother than the hubs on my mavic ksyrium elites on my roadbike! Hopefully longevity should be good as Ive heard good things about these hubs. Jim is also a gent to deal with. All good! Cheers.

Hey Jim, I'm looking at a pair of Miche track wheels (everything silver with 40mm rims) to put on an old Peageut frame (which was made for 27 1/4" wheels but I believe will be fine with 700s) I'm converting to fixie/single-speed road use. I'll be running with brakes on them if that's ok on the non-machined braking surface of a 40mm rim? Was also wondering how long it normally takes you to get these shipped from the time of placing the order. I'm London based (would happily collect if postage is expensive).
Cheers

Hi mate. usually takes around 1 week from order. Could probably get these out by middle of next week no problem.

Varno, can you supply miche hubs alone? the reason i ask is that i was after a 28h front and 32h rear which is not an off the shelf combination

Great, thanks for this. I expect to get my order in this weekend.

Further to my first enquiry, I've heard that any wheels without a machined braking surface will be ineffective with brakes. Does this mean I should go for 30mm rims with brake surface? I'd prefer 40 but if the brakes will wear through the rims without the brake surface, I'll go for 30's.

Its a good point.. I would go machined or a mixed pair. Some riders go 40mm rear and 30mm machined front....JIm
