• I wouldn't be keen on accepting damaged goods and relying on the seller for a no-hassle replacement and repair: lots of scope for disagreement about what does/doesn't need doing. By refusing them, the situation is quite clear: refund or replace.

    As you've already rejected the parcel, it should be on its way back by now and (as you say) it's not clear how/if you could get it back.

    Just explain this to the seller, so part replacement and costs isn't an option.
