Those cranks are some of the best track ones money can buy.
Hah, not really, there are better option.

Just noticed the massive, massive wheelbuilding fail on the Hoy front wheel

Cannot be unseen

Seppuku time

Okay, in terms of pure track functionality, weren't Team GB using them up until the run-up to 2012

Being charitable, might it not be that the gfx monkey moved the valve stem to match that on the rear wheel, ignorant of where it should be in relation to the lacing pattern?

Check the sticker location on the rims, could be right.

Non-standard
your non-standard.

Can we enhance that?

So this happened.
B-Twin new full Ultegra specced alu road bike with direct mount Ultegra brake (another mounted under the chainstay), Mavic Cosmic wheelset, and Fizik saddle.
The price? a mere £1099.
I actually think it look great.

2kg frameset can...
The 900 carbon frameset of theirs looks sweet in the flesh and literally weighs half as much. They sell it with 5800 for not very much.

• #640
...also on a b'twin tip...
-
• #641
That B-Twin makes a lot of sense. Buy it and throw components on decent frame. Bosh.
-
• #642
Total bargain... Why bother changing the frame? Just ride it into dust.

Wtf is up with people direct mounting brakes by the bb? Literally the dumbest thing - clearly none of these people have never actually cleaned a bike before.
Also Ed, please stop talking out your arse about dura ace track cranks. Yes outboard BB's are easier to maintain but octalink bb's have been around for yonks (and so by definition are as standard as any other commonly used BSA bb) and the cranks themselves are as good as (if not better than) any other track specific production cranks. Look's one piece carbon jobs excepted.

Tell that to hoops lol

His is a handmade vanity/summer bike. Not some 10kg alu clunker from decathlon. He will not be fishing 3cm of muck from November field run off or January road grit out his callipers.
-
• #646
Are those components worth a grand to you?

This. And I question the logic of relatively light/pricey cassette, rings and chain on low-end frame. Better to buy something decent and use cheaper consumables for the same result and a nicer riding bike. #overthinking

They're in fashion for 2015, give it a couple years.
There's loads of bottom bracket standards Ed and those cranks are some of the best track ones money can buy
