I've never explored on-line guides, so can't tell you anything about them.

Coming soon to a car near you, as some manufacturers will be using SCR to get small diesels to pass Euro 6 tests. If it's working properly, you shouldn't get significant amounts of ammonia in the tail pipe, so stinky buses are likely to be suffering from a defective sensor somewhere.

I was going to suggest 'The Complete Plain Words' by Sir Ernest Gowers as an old fashioned (i.e. printed) possibility - my copy dates from 1963, priced 3/6.
When I looked to see if it was still in print (a revised version is) I found it as a free download - not quite an online guide but getting closer...

Had them on the touring bike, quite robust and really comfty.
