If there is any sentimental value to the frame, keep it together with forks and go for the original paint scheme. If you are just after a classical British frame from that era, ditch this and get something nicer. Fit some 28c tires to feel up the generous clearences and DA 7700 for that classy look with modern action. Try to get the group together or source indivual parts in E-bay, local listings or Classifieds here. Obviously to try to get the performance to the max level fit new casette, chain and cables. Regarding the BB and headset it's usually a pain with second hand ones, so maybe go for new ones as well. Or anyway that is what I would do.
