  • Can you get away with Vs or mini Vs, cantis are rubbish.

  • Canti's are great if you are touring and know how to set them up well as they can be made to brake as well on buckled wheels as non buckled... For day to day commuting I'd totally go for vbrakes though.

    Neither of these answers particularly helps if you know you want canti's for touring... Which may be what H wants?

    In case you aren't thinking about touring you can probably get a good set of used v's from a polo player for very little... I might have one spare if you want to come to newt?

  • Thanks. I have enough sets of V brakes. And Mini-Vs. Cantis are a ball ache to set-up (that's why I'll get Nik to do it), but they are the brake which is most suitable for my needs.
