I'm a bit on the fence, it was half 2001, half Gravity - managing to be neither a straight bit of sci-fi or a Hollywood Blockbuster (if you get what I mean?).

Basically, every time it drew me in, it almost instantly dropped a clanger.

Stop! Every time 2001 is floated out for comparison the light from a dead star reaches Earth.
