Phone doesn't take night pics too well but here it is with the new cranks.

Miche cranks - dafuq is ur problem? I specially went "all Miche" on a drivetrain. Cant see why they are worse or better then Omniums.
They're square taper, they're certainly not as stiff, they can't be removed with out special tools, they're certainly not as good quality and most importantly they don't have a stash hole.

^ Nice, not feeling the saddle but rest of the bike is pretty on point. Would tape bars though!

So I've ordered a 2015 Langster with Bullhorns for a test ride and if I like it I'll be riding it home.
Will I need to get tugs or does the wheel stay put? I like the fixed/fixed hub on an off the peg bike....£550 is not too bad a price either.

You don't need it providing you tighten it enough, the tugs can be useful to get the chain tensioned nicely.

I never liked the graphics on the Langster Steel so I removed them when I got it, but it always bugged me having no graphics at all. So finally I updated the graphics to the classic Specialized ones

Just out of interest, does anyone have a spare set of the original langster steel wheels? Would be interested to buy some providing they were in decent nick.

The CXP 22? I have a pair, though they are only in intermediate condition...

Don't think we've had this here, not sure what model it is.

Silly question here, but I'm really debating selling my converted Reynolds 653 road frame and replacing it with a red steel Langster...
How will it compare? Is it heavy? Would it be considered a downgrade?
My 653 frame is a tad on the big side for me but it's so light and zingy.
Will I regret?
The reason I ask is because I'm just about to have a massive clear-out and debating on whether to include the 653 in the sale.. Unfortunately I don't have the cash to have both and make my mind up that way. Always loved the way a red steel langster looked.

Don't do it. The steel Langster is chromoly Reynolds 520. Just pay for a re-spray of your current frame.
-
• #1441
520 cromo is just cheap tubing that Reynolds buy in and stick their logo on, 653 is a proper Reynolds double butted tube from Birmingham. Keep the road frame until you find a nice Reynolds track frame.

If it's a bit big for you, sell it on and get a smaller frame.

Here's the one I bought, best bike I've owned and the cheapest by far.

Hello all.
Does anyone know where i can get a specialized 61 cm frame ONLY ? :)
i'm in love with this frame, but i don't need a complete bike so a frame alone would be perfect. Thanks for helping me to buy my next birthday present... -

@AlfredIV I just asked Specialized UK and simply; No. Unless you want a Langster Pro frameset?

Slight thread resurrection. Does anyone have real world experience of fitting (rubiono) 28s on an (2010) alu langster? With the normal tektro brakes etc. Thanks.
Best bet would be to go into your LBS and they will be able to order one in for you, I'd say leave the steerer uncut. You may want to go back at a later date, good to have the option.
