What happened to new users not being able to send PMs?

All you guys need to do is share these messages with the mods.

Just use the "edit conversation" button to delete the thread's title (it cannot be blank, so use a full stop). This will stop it showing up in searches and embarrassing your great-grandchildren when LFGSS has become a set text in Early 21st Century Studies.

You can edit your post too, using the "edit" button you'll see at the bottom right of each post you make. Again it can't be blank, but perhaps a link to your new thread would be more useful than a full stop.

My guess is that you hit the "go" button, next to the drop-down menu: it's not clear that this actions "close" [thread], rather than posting your reply and there are lots of new, locked threads so you're in good company.

It doesn't seem to be reversible either, as "close" is the only choice from the drop-down.

Spam has all been cleaned up.

I will add options for admins to configure sites such that members cannot create private messages (but can receive and interact) until they have been registered n days and posted n times (where either can be optional).

I'll make the same options available to the permissions stuff, allowing people to reply to conversations but not create their own.

Effectively, I'll re-enable some form of nursery.

It might also help the 'today' page of the forum start looking more personal again and less like we'd been overrun by the Borg.

Think that's got something to do with the "defaults=true" in the URL. I guess that's for setting the default search filter which searches by conversation title only. I think. Remove "defaults=true" from url, see magic work.

NB: changing "true" to "fuckyou" also returns no results :(
