That's pretty good value for a carbon frame, I don't know why SRAM hydraulic is cheaper on the bike, but not on it's own.

Saracen Avro look more expensive now.

Actually scratch that, where did you find that price? all I can find is £2,000 which seemed more like it.

yea, I have been looking at the alu bikes but I think I want carbon
because my carbon Canyon bike rides so much better than any
of my other bikes, alu, steel or titanium.
I am currently in love with this one:

but I hate how much extra it will cost to convert it to hydraulic. The higher end model is
£3000 but I like the sparkly silver more and I don't want the other upgraded parts on it.

I will probably wait for this

put some slx brakes on it and let the roadies get over the novelty of hydraulics etc.

About the 2015 version of the HY/RD, do you know if they've done anything about the lever throw @edscoble? I want to get them but I'm worried about what the throw will be like on my Sram Apex levers.

Providing you use compressionless housing will help make it bite better rather than a soft spongy feel.

You'll need to make sure to set it up well, and ensure that you don't close off the piston by adjusting the barrier adjuster too much (it need to retract fully for the auto align pads to work).

Really want to like these, as I love my shimano shoes. And these look like they'll be really nice. But they look horrendous.
