  • Looks more like Bulgaria than Italy...

  • It's Wales, apparently.

    I quite like the jerseys.

  • It's Wales, apparently.

  • I really quite like those. Seem pretty good value for money too considering the materials.

  • has howies been sold? there are barely any products left and everything is either blue or gray.

  • Again you mean.

AFAIK they ceased being howies about 4-5 years ago when the original founders/owners sold out to timberland or some such? Then timberland sold into to some larger group and howies got a bit more control back, but chances are its all changed again.
Sucks, as I love working in product design/apparel/outdoor companies, but 99% of the time you can't do your best/ whats best for the brand/customers because you are stuck in meetings about group politics :(

  • They bought the company back from Timberland in 2012 and now operate independently from Cardigan.

They're probably just between stock/ranges at the moment. Got an email about some new jeans or something last night so expect there will be a spring/summer range coming in shortly.

  • Did they buy back a controlling share or are they genuinely back to being independent?

The Howies cycling jerseys look nice but very black // hot for summer.

  • Totes alone now brah.

  • I still buy denim from them. In fact they introduced me to "slubby" selevedge back end of last year.

  • I was a big fan of the merino t-shirts but they are gone and no merino boxers either.

  • Their Warm 49ers are a welcome item when watching noneague football all winter.

  • cycling stuff back in stock, looks nice and not too pricey.
although the womens range: 5 things, mens range: 12 things can >>>>>>>>>

  • Youuuu are a fucking champ! Had no idea this was on. Going for sure.

  • Yay!

  • Nice reminder Alex. Might miss some more bargainous stuff, as will be there after lunch. But it's always worth a look!

  • Ay, it's normally a goodun, sample sale wise.

Would you like me to look out for or buy anything for you @c00ps?

    I'm aiming to go mid-morning...

  • Just been; nothing great cycling-wise. But lots of stuff and normal sizes (M, 32" etc). Quite a lot of merino base layers. I think they are £25 each.

  • Sorry MM, I missed replying to your very kind offer due to a toddler waking up crying (poor girl has a rotten cold). By the sounds of amey's reports though, I will probably be in for some merino later on. Cheers!

  • no worries! did you do good?

  • Baselayers seem decent value, as amey said. But I had to leg it for the train. So nothing more exciting than that. Thanks again for the tip-off!
