i have also suffered this 'walkmaman' after asking after a pair of tyres he was flogging. his reply was:
no you're not having them as a result of "the pro-anti social/cynical behavour society that the Establishment guys have set up for us to bring this about".
all i'd asked was were the tyres in alright condition and could i please have them....?
that 'student/ sneering' suggestion isn't a new insult of his either, but he didn't actually meet me before accusing me of it. as for the 'pedantic' part....oh the hypocrisy! i'm pretty sure his argument was based around the idea he felt me impolite too, despite his initial response including the above quote!
