Chelsea will not go unbeaten this season and will very probably not reach the record level of points that they achieved in 2004/5.
To see why, look at their last six league matches.
ManU (H)
Arsenal (A)
Palace (H)
Liverpool (H)
WBA (A)
Sunderland (H)
By the time Chelsea reach those last six games, one of two things will have happened. Either, they will have faltered and already lost a match or, if they haven't they will have picked up the trophy or be about to pick it up.
If the former, they will not be unbeaten That is obvious.
If the latter, they will face half a dozen or maybe fewer games against teams that will either be fighting for Champions League qualification or fighting relegation when Chelsea will have either nothing to play for or, more seriously, will be focusing on the Champions League and/or FA Cup.
Any of these taken now and Chelsea would fancy a win or at least a draw. At that stage in the season, a defeat is highly likely.
