Ride it 'til you die

if it was bad enough to break your fork and collar bone I wouldn't trust the bars or the wheel either

Crashed carbon bars are always a no no for me now. Even used. Bought some with "cosmetic scratched laquer" recently which snapped quite violently and without warning.
I'm only speaking for myself though.
Had a nasty crash.
Totaled my carbon forks. These have been replaced
Snapped my collar bone. This is fixing.
However, 2 things
It was my first ride on carbon handlebars, I hadn't gotten round to putting tape on them yet, the only obvious damage is some surface scratching.
The front rim was a chinese carbon clincher I got half price from the Kinoko cycles shop closing sale. I can't see any obvious damage but the wheel isn't true any longer, and somehow punctured in the spill.
so. Should I stop being paranoid and assume the carbon is fine if no obvious cracks?
Should I assume the carbon is damaged and for the sake of safety replace?
Will try to photo the damage, but what am I looking for particularly?
I'm kind of keen to go for a shallow wheelset anyway, but its a fair wad of cash to write off.
