I just don't see why I should pay £2500+ for a complete bike to get them because it's nothing new.

It's new for a road bicycle, but you don't need to pay that much for hydraulic, for example the Cannondale CAADX Rival hydraulic is £1400.

The focus Cayo rival is £1700 cheap as.

That's pretty good value for a carbon frame, I don't know why SRAM hydraulic is cheaper on the bike, but not on it's own.

Saracen Avro look more expensive now.

Actually scratch that, where did you find that price? all I can find is £2,000 which seemed more like it.
