Carlton 1960's racer with 27" flip flop wheels, brooks saddle - £75 in NW3

Carlton racer.

Needs a little bit of work to make it roadworthy:

• New cables, brake blocks and one tyre. ( i can supply all these if needed)
  
• wheels need a true
  
• cotter pin needs tightening /re-intalling on drive side.
  
• degrease chain.
  
  
  

Good points:

• wrap around seat stays
  
• horizontal drop outs for FG/SS
  
• fancy lugs
  
• 27" Wheels - steel rims.
  
• Nice hubs.
  
• Brooks saddle - average condition.
  
• Seatpost and stem both move freely.
  
  

Frame has been repainted at some point but is free from dents and looks straight, i will double check the forks are too.

I just don't have the time to do the work right now. I'm hoping it will make a cheap little retro-run-around for someone.

Slightly different i know, but they were made to go in the frame..

I also have a couple of pairs of five/six speed 27" wheels in good nick.

hi Matt, thanks for getting back to me. I was looking for a cheap ss/fixed wheel set to throw on an old Pearson. The ones you have on Ebay are a little too special for the Pearson.
