  • oof, thanks

  • Nice photo. Where I worked in Indonesia cock fighting was completely commonplace, although I don't know whether or not it's legal. In the village every teenager/young man had a fighting bird and every morning when I woke up they'd be training them to fight on the grass outside my room.

  • Cockfighting is pretty commonplace in a lot of forum threads, so I don't think many on here will really be impressed. :)

  • ^^ showing mucho good, Will.

  • @ewanmac yes its the same thing here in the Philippines even in Manila in most neighbourhoods you'll find cages and birds.

    @Oliver_Schick ha it's not just the forum, statistically the internet is pretty much men watching videos and the playing with their cocks.

    @WillMelling fantastic image.

  • a bit bleak..

  • My first post in the digital thread, here are couple I took last week around South London.

  • second one is oddly nice

  • Love the 80s Mondeo.

    Its now the wallpaper on my phone.

  • Leek, Withered, thanks. I bought a Canon Powershot thingy off here for £15 and really enjoy having it in my pocket.

  • It looks like an Escort.?

  • Thanks @kboy @well_is_it I was really pleased with how it came out considering how simple it is and @falconvitesse is right, its an Escort.

  • Selling some camera bits just in time for Xmas;

    Panasonic Lumix LX7

    High-end compact with F/1.4 Leica lense. Originally bought for cycle touring - something I could fit a pocket and use as a point-and-shoot, but also not totally shit. Good in low light, shoots RAW, 1080p video, 100fps slomo. £180

    Nikon D60 + AF-S Nikkor 35mm 1:1.8G + Lowepro case

    Solid DSLR and 35mm prime lense that makes everything look right sexy - low light F/1.8, shallow depth of field, smooth bokeh, muted colours. £160 the lot, or D60 £70, 35mm £120, Lowepro £10

  • The D60 and 35mm f/1.8 combo is a damn good one.

  • Ive still got loads of stuff for sale here: http://www.lfgss.com/conversations/255356/

    Including a Nikon D300 and grip .

    With a 16-85 lense

  • Oh also, I need to shoot video in work now. Its not an area I know a huge amount about, are we best off buying a DSLR to do it? or should we get a dedicated video camera? Its just for presentations etc

  • we do all our online seminars/presentations off a 7D

  • I edited an shot from last year and like the results. I know colour pop is played out but I think this works!

    Colour pop Westfield. by Michael M Rennie, on Flickr

  • currently still in Hong Kong and really tempted by the price of a Nikon D810, which works out to be about £1830, much cheaper than getting it back home... thoughts on the camera??

  • thoughts on the camera

    would like to own one

  • colour pop is played out

    I don't know if it's "played out", but I know what I was thinking when I first saw this kind of "editing", and what I'm still thinking when I see stuff like this.

  • Oooooh, cliffhanger, what did you think?
