Gloves on the radiator in the morning. Oh such a nice feeling when you put them on.

+1... So toasty

So general consensus is no to seal skinz? They are going cheap on "that site" at the moment, in need of some decent waterproof gloves, pissing down in dublin atm. Don't need crazy warms gloves
Edit: the winter gloves in particular. -

For waterproof just get neoprene gloves.
I have the £12 btwin decathlon ones and they're great. -

I have some of their so called All Weather gloves from a few years ago. They are (and and always were) nothing of the sort. Soak up water like a sponge and then do a fine job of teaming up with the wind to refrigerate your hands if you don't take them off.
Warm enough when it's dry and 5°c+, but otherwise quite useless.

Yeah the pair I had (which I returned for a refund - they were that bad) I discovered were 'waterproofed' not 'waterproof'. This becomes very obvious very quickly.
I found them quite bulky and ill-fitting too. Other people seem to get on ok with them.

I have some of the Winter ones from about 4 years ago. They are rare as hens teeth in that I must have the only waterproof sealskinz in the world. Hour long downpours made no impression on them. Shame I shrunk them a little when washing them and they are now a little bit too small so they constrict and trigger numb fingers.

I think the problem I have, other than shit circulation, is like Dammit...gloves that are too tight. I get in a vicious circle where my hands get cold so I use a liner. That in effect reduces the size of the glove and the insulating air which makes them cooler, so I stick glove and liner into an over-mitt, restricting my hands/free air even more.
Have you tried loose lobster gloves? I've used them for the last few years. They don't work 100% of the time but they have definitely reduced the amount of tingling due to constriction and I've managed to get though more cold days than with fingered gloves.

@snottyotter ^ you were after these too right?

They are phasing in the Electronic Touch version of all the Dura gloves including wool and even Defeet don't have stock of wool ETs at the moment.
Only XL sizes of non-ET version from US Ebay sellers too so looks no-one has any anywhere.

Got my mum to order some, et can wait.

Always Riding have all sizes of the ET Wool after all too. Strange no-one else does.
I was going to say - are you sure that you have enough air between the layers to actually insulate? That seems like a ridiculous amount of layers for the temperature - its 8 degrees not 1.
In addition to what skinny said about warming your hands up - warming the gloves up is also an option. You could also wear more layers on your core, which will definitely keep your hands warmer.
